How long will my dog stay for residential training?

It depends entirely on the training objectives we agree with you. As a rough guide, a reactivity course typically runs three to four weeks and an obedience course around four to six weeks, but we’ll give you a realistic timeframe once we understand your dog.

Who will train my dog?

Every dog is assigned a primary and a secondary trainer from our diverse team. Wherever possible we match the training dynamics to those of your family at home, so the transition back to you is as smooth as possible.

I’ve tried everything before, so why will residential training be different?

Most previous attempts fail because of a lack of consistency and timing, not because of you or your dog. Residential training removes the time pressures of everyday life, so if a session that should take ten minutes needs two hours, that’s not a problem. That sustained, concentrated consistency is exactly what produces the results we’re known for.

My dog is just a puppy, won’t they grow out of it?

It’s far better to instil the right behaviour from the start than to hope a dog grows out of something. The earlier a behaviour is learned, the more deeply it’s imprinted, and unwanted behaviours only get harder to undo the longer they’re left, so early training is a real investment.

My dog is an adult rescue, is it too late to train them?

Not at all. While the younger a dog is the more beneficial early training tends to be, we’ve successfully trained dogs of all ages, including rescues taken on later in life. It is very rarely too late to make a meaningful difference, whatever the breed.

Will my dog just go back to old habits when they get home?

This is exactly why the handover matters so much. We spend a great deal of time, in real public environments, transferring the training to you so it holds up against the distractions of everyday life.
