Use A Damp Towel

Use a damp towel to wipe away dirt or any outdoor debris that may appear on your dog’s coat, such as sand or pine needles.

Check Paw Pads

Regularly check your dog’s paw pads to ensure they aren’t dry or cracked. Check for excessive hair growing in between their pads, as this needs to be trimmed to prevent it from becoming matted. 

Grooming Products

Always use veterinarian-approved grooming products, and any recommended by your vet, to avoid causing irritation or discomfort for you dog.

Check For Injuries

Dog grooming is a great time to check for any injuries or sores on your dog. If you find something that needs treating, never attempt to treat it yourself. Take your dog to a vet to be treated professionally.

Bathing

In the summer your dog may enjoy being bathed outside, but in cooler temperatures, this may be dangerous as your dog’s body temperature may drop too quickly.
