In 1925, a deadly diphtheria outbreak threatened Nome, Alaska. The only hope was a life-saving serum nearly 700 miles away. With no planes or trains available, sled dogs became the town’s last chance.

Balto, a Siberian Husky, led the final 54-mile stretch in brutal conditions, ensuring the medicine reached Nome in time. His courage saved countless lives, making him a national hero.

Huskies Honoured Today

Today, Balto is honoured with a statue in Central Park, New York. His story reminds us of the resilience, intelligence, and loyalty of dogs, traits we aim to nurture through training. Every dog has the potential to be a hero in their own way.
