What is residential dog training?

At Platinum K9, all our training services are carried out residentially, meaning dogs come to stay with us for an extended period of time, to fully immerse them into the training environment.
The length of time each dog stays with us varies, depending on the course and training objectives, and can last from 3 to 6 weeks. We have on-site state-of-the-art kennels, each being individually thermostat controlled, ensuring each dog has a comfortable stay with us.

Does residential dog training work?

Dogs don’t understand dedicated learning time. They learn best through frequent short-duration training sessions. Training residentially simply allows our trainers the time and opportunity to imprint patterns of behaviour again and again, creating muscle memory to help them achieve their training goals, not to mention creating a brilliant bond with your dog along the way!
Is residential dog training worth it?
In short, yes. And it’s not just our opinion either. Dogs learn through frequent short-duration training sessions, and residential dog training allows dogs to learn in this way. Residential dog training is the best, most effective way of building these desired patterns of behaviour, creating muscle memories, and, ultimately, achieving your dog’s training goals.
