Otto
Jamie George
Hi, I’m Jamie George. I’m the captain of the England Rugby team.
We first brought Otto to Platinum K9 in the summer of 2020.
We were having a lot of issues with Otto before his training, really to be honest Vizslas are hyperactive dogs, I think we found it really difficult to channel his energy and it was almost so difficult for us to control, affecting our lives in that respect so thankfully we found Platinum K9.
I think the main reason why we chose Platinum K9 was just through the conversations that I had with Ben. He reassured us that the issues that we were having were very common.
He was so big in terms of building a relationship with the dog and it was very clear that it was different to the trainers that we had had in the past.
Otto responded to him in such a good way that it was a no-brainer for us.
Everyone at Platinum K9 had the same sort of philosophies that we loved, in hearing about how you would train the dog.
“The way that I describe the experience is probably life-changing if I’m completely honest.”
We would never take him to public situations, whether that was the park, on a walk or to the pub, to a coffee shop, round to other people’s houses. There was a lot of anxiety and when we took him out it was like, ‘what’s going to happen next?’ on a walk, ‘what’s he going to do wrong next?’
It got to the point where we’re almost dreading it which is just so unfair, not just for us but also for Otto because we want him to have a good time too.
“What Platinum K9 and what Ben has done with Otto has genuinely changed our lives.”
We love taking him out now. We absolutely love taking him to park. He goes, he runs around, he comes back, he has a great time, as do we, and it’s just allowed us to live our lives but also bring Otto along with us.
So you know, happily take him to friends houses, happily take him to coffee shops, happily take him to pubs occasionally, and that’s just something that we were never able to do before.
It’s always a daunting prospect when we were looking to send Otto away for 8 weeks. I think the reassurance that we found through Ben and through everyone at Platinum K9 was pleasantly surprising.
We were getting constant video updates, we were seeing Otto interacting with Ben’s children or the other trainers’ kids which gave us a huge amount of reassurance. It really made the 8 week break from Otto, you know, we missed him a lot but it made that transition a lot easier and that was certainly a pleasant surprise.
It’s absolutely the best value for money. What price can you put on changing yours and your dog’s life in terms of the interaction that you can have with them?
We speak to so many people now and we’ve recommended so many people to Platinum K9 because the impact that having an a badly trained dog, or a high-drive dog that you can’t control, has on your life, I mean what value can you put on that, when they come back a completely changed dog and you can live such a happy life both for you and the dog?
So for us, we would do it over and over and over again, for every dog that we get, will certainly be tapping Ben on the shoulder and getting in touch with Platinum K9.
