Hello, I’m Romesh Ranganathan. I’m a comedian, and arguably have agreed to do too much stuff and people are starting to get sick of me and I’ve got two dogs Reggie and Ivy that we needed a little bit of help with.

I feel like just because of having three boys and just us being quite chilled out and relaxed and maybe a bit too relaxed is that we’ve got two dogs that were sort of ignoring us.

Reggie in particular kind of had no recall whatsoever and so we live in quite a nice area where we want to be able to take them out and let them have a good time but we felt too scared to do that.

The other big issue is every time you open the door, Reggie would go and then you basically kiss goodbye to about 2 hours of your day. We couldn’t have as much fun with them as we wanted to because we’re all just so nervous about what they were going to do if we gave them a bit of freedom.

Basically we chose Platinum K9 because I’d seen them online and just seen how they do things and it felt like you want them to be trained but you also want to feel like the place that you’re sending them to is someone that loves dogs and they’ll be well looked after.

I’d seen that Frankie Bridge had sent her dogs. I spoke to Frankie and I’d seen the videos. We felt like the benefits that we’d get after the training outweighed the heartache of having them be away from us for a few weeks.

It’s felt very very over and above. I mean we were expecting a lot but it was over and above even what we were expecting.

When we handed over the dogs we had a long chat. We talked about how they behaved in the house and then when the dogs were away, we were getting videos all the time.

We’re getting text messages, WhatsApps all the time about how they were doing, little pictures of them, updates and then once a week we got a proper video explaining how their training had progressed.

From our experience, my wife and I and the kids are very very, we love our dogs very much but I would say that we’ve done absolutely nothing.

When we got the dogs to be able to sit, we took a month off because we just thought we were so pleased with ourselves that we’d managed to do that.

I think if you’re in a situation where you feel like you’re not able to give your dogs the freedom that you want, you’re not, you don’t feel comfortable when people come around because you’re not, you know some people are nervous around dogs. Our dogs are super friendly. Our dogs will jump at people. That’s all right for some people. For some people that terrifies them. We don’t want people to get nervous about coming to our house.

We’re hoping to, full honesty of it is I don’t expect us and I don’t even hope that we’ll get them doing what Jon has been able to get but even if we were able to get them to 50% of that I’d be delighted.

I would say if you’re in a situation with there any kind of obedience issue and any kind of real serious issue that you feel like hasn’t been able to be sorted out previously, I feel like Platinum K9 are very well equipped to not only do that, but also look after you through the whole process. We’re really really impressed. I would thoroughly recommend.
